How do I get to Tobago?
You can choose one of many options:
UK passengers - British Airways and Virgin Atlantic;
European passengers - Condor;
North American and Canadian passengers with American Airlines (AA) and Caribbean Airlines respectively.
For persons who may be holding connecting flights, you will have to clear customs and immigration in Trinidad before you can be escorted by brethren from Trinidad to the Tobago gate, for a 20 minutes flight to Tobago.
Caribbean and domestic passengers can also use our regional and inter- island carriers – Liat and Caribbean Airlines. There is also an inter-island ferry service between Trinidad and Tobago at a cost of $100.00TT round trip. Airfare between the Island is $300.00 return trip.
What is the currency used in Trinidad and Tobago?
We use the Trinidad and Tobago Dollar (TTD). The use of Visa and Master Card is also facilitated on the island at selected merchants but be sure to inform your local bank of your travel dates, to prevent denial of your card. US currency can also be changed at local banks. Currently the US exchange rate is $6.10TT to $1 US dollar – this is subject to change. Are airport transfers available?
Yes. It is important that we receive your flight details as early as possible in order to make adequate pick up and drop off arrangements. Please ensure that you pre-register to ensure that this leg of your travel runs as smoothly as possible.
How do I find accommodation in Tobago?
On the site you will also find hotel accommodation. All hotels are about 15 to 20 minutes away from the venue.
Will transportation be provided to and from the venue daily?
Yes. The local committee will arrange for the presence of transportation while you are here but visitors will be responsible for payment to the drivers. Please budget for about $18.00US per day which represents two return trips per day.
Will there be tours available during the lectureship? And what are the costs?
Yes. During event breaks Glass bottom boat rides to Buccoo Reef and the Nylon Pool. The visit covers viewing of the various coral formations and observation of marine life. The Nylon Pool is a crystal clear body of water out in the ocean that is shallow enough to go swimming. Be careful: It is said to have youth giving powers. Cost: Adult $25.00 US, Children $15.00 US cost includes transportation: conditions apply and cost may be subject to change; half Island tours are available during event breaks.
Will meals be provided at this event?
On Sunday only we would have ‘Fellowship Lunch’ For the other days you will be responsible for all your meals.
Is Duty-Free shopping available?
Yes it is at Piarco International Airport and A.N.R. Robinson airport for international and regional passengers.
